Photo Manipulation and Ethics

Photo manipulation is okay to a certain extent, if the editor only fixed the lighting so that the picture is more visible or better interpreted than i think its okay. But if the photo is manipulated to pervert the meaning or context of it in order to trick the audience than it is unethical.

This picture is the most unethical to me because the manipulation used on this photo is to fix the context of the photo and make it look like the soldier is not letting the man with the kid pass when in reality the soldier was not looking or waving at the man and there was other people in front of the man with the baby so this picture was completely fixed up to seem like a complete different occasion.

This picture is the least unethical because the context of the picture is not manipulated at all the story behind it stays the same the only things that were fixed were things that were distracting to the audience and the picture gets the message across better without distractions but without fixing it give a different message than the original.
